    On my CM Ludwig kit I'm using Coated Ambassadors on top and Clear Ambassadors on the bottom for the 10 and 12 Toms; on the 16 FT Coated Emperor on top For the 16" I feel it has a slightly more robust tone I tried Coated on both sides for a while in small venues and they sounded great to me
